Springville Art Museum Award Winners

This year we had two award winners at the 53rd Annual Utah All-State High School Art Show at the Springville Art Museum. These students, Braden Wilcox and Cambryn Vance, won Honorable Mentions for District 4. These students were invited to two events, the Awards Ceremony and Capitol Day, where the students got to meet their Legislative Representatives. Getting an artwork into this show is already hard, but getting an award from this show is outstanding. Congrats to Braden and Cambryn!

Drawing 1 Blind Contour Projects and Art 1020 Perspective Projects

Miss Blue's Drawing 1 classes just finished their Blind Contour Projects. These are wacky drawings where students do not look at their paper while drawing. They added fun designs and colors with different materials to make the projects pop. Art 1020 also just finished their first project: the 2 Point Perspective Project. These drawings students did by adding vanishing points and horizon lines that went past the edge of the paper. Students then made buildings that had extra details and shading or coloring. You can see all of these projects and more in the Blue hallway.
