Mark your calendars for these important dates!

All National Honor Society Members: Documentation of your 25+ annual service hours must be turned in to Mrs Tester by May 9th. You are welcome to email or share your hours log via Remind or email to [email protected].

National Honor Society Seniors: Graduation Stoles are available for purchase for members in good standing. Once your service hours are submitted and your dues are paid, you are welcome to pick up a Graduation Stole form from Mrs Tester in B1404. You will take this form to the Main Office to purchase your Graduation Stole. Then, bring your receipt to Mrs Tester to pick up the Stole. This Honor Stole is yours to keep following graduation.

National Honor Society Sophs and Jrs: Applications to be a 2025-26 NHS Officer are available from Mrs Tester in B1404. All applications must be submitted by May 9th. Positions available include: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Service Chair, Sr Rep, and Jr Rep. For more information about the responsibilities of each office, contact Mrs Tester.

In this past month, Miss Blue's Drawing 1 students and Art 1020 students completed one of the most difficult projects for the semester. In Drawing 1, students created drawings using pencil and different methods of shading to draw an image chosen by the students. Art 1020 students made still life drawings that contain three different random objects. They also added fun backgrounds to their drawings using different materials. Check out all of these artworks in the blue hallway.

Mountain Ridge Prostart did an industry tour recently and had a great time! A big thank you to Caputo's Market & Deli for giving us an amazing tour and tasting of their regional fine foods including chocolates, cheeses, olives, sardines, potato chips, and different meats. Our students enjoyed learning about new foods and sustainable global agriculture practices. We also went to SLCC Culinary School and got a tour of their amazing facilities and their catering class served us an incredible meal led by one of their capstone students. A big thank you to our industry partners who show our students the incredible career opportunities available in the culinary industry!
